In 2016 he worked on several projects. The first wrapped up his efforts in Alberta with minor support for the Town of High River in the areas of community planning and economic renewal. Another involved working with the Open Door Group from Vancouver and the Ethos Career Management Group from Nanaimo on establishing Strategic Priorities.
A three week visit to Costa Rica was a fascinating opportunity to enjoy the birds, beaches and wildlife in that part of Central America.
Rob attended the 2016 Annual PIBC Conference in Kelowna where he lead a session for junior planners allowing them to seek advice and guidance from more established members.
He continued his mentorship with a master’s student at the new Vancouver Island University Masters in Community Planning program and will make himself available for another new crop of students.
Rob and Kathy succeeded in achieving a long held goal to explore the Tuscany Region of Italy in the fall.
